KELSO — It might’ve been the biggest rebound in school history. Nobody really keeps track of those things, but they should.

TreMayne Jenkins — with R. A. Long up three points and after Joshua Crane was forced to chuck a 3-pointer with the shot clock expiring — out-jumped everybody for what was essentially a game-winning offensive board. Surrounded by desperate Monarchs in blue, all who clearly wanted the ball with every cell in their bodies, he simply wanted it more.

Clichés be damned. Sometimes they’re true.
