TUMWATER — Nearly everything, including the kitchen sink, was being thrown by the R.A. Long High School girls basketball team.

Nothing stuck on Wednesday night. And in the span of under two hours, the Lumberjills season came to an abrupt end on the road.

Held to just two points in the opening quarter, and coming away empty on too many possessions, doomed R.A. Long in a 54-32 setback to the hometown T-Birds in a Class 2A District IV pigtail game at Tumwater High School.

"We just couldn't get that ball to fall," R.A. Long head coach J.D. Ott said.
