A dynamic pair of Lumberjills made history last week when they became the first doubles tennis partners in documented school history to place at the State Tournament.

It was Alice Anderson and Lyle Khlee who sent the gatekeepers of history rummaging through the record books after they placed fifth in the 2A Girls Tennis State Tournament at the University of Washington on Saturday. The Lumberjills’ last players standing won four of five matches in the two-day tournament in order to reach the podium.

“Alice and Lyla had an incredible season,” R.A. Long head coach Rally Wallace said.
