WOODLAND—Put together, their last names sound like an accounting firm that you hail the services of when you’re panicking around April 15 every year. But Tuesday night, Addi Stading and Kennedy Bockert were cashing in triples and layups instead of crunching taxes.
The end result was a convincing 64-29 victory for Woodland over Kalama in the girls’ version of the 8-Mile War, Wednesday, in South Cowlitz County.
And while Blast Zone Media admittedly neglected to inquire of Woodland head coach Glen Flanagan whether his star pairing has a nickname yet before concocting one, Bockert and Stading Inc. combined for 44 of Woodland’s 64 points to help make Monday’s season-opening blowout loss at W.F. West a distant memory.
And the strategy didn’t seem too difficult. At least, not according to Stading.
