AUBURN — The Kelso baseball team suffered a early complete offensive outage at the absolute worst time. As a consequence, the Hilanders saw their season end at the 3A bi-District III/IV Tournament after scoring only three runs over the course of four games.
On the final day of the tournament the Hilanders needed at least one win in order to keep their State hopes alive. However, Kelso fell 9-1 to Central Kitsap in their opener at Auburn Mountainview High School, before losing 8-1 to Decatur in a loser-out/winner-to-State contest at the far end of the consolation bracket.
