1A Prep Baseball / Report

KALAMA – The Castle Rock baseball team made the relatively short trek to Kalama and immediately broke open the 1A Trico League affair with five runs in the first inning of a 10-0 win over the Chinooks, Tuesday, at Haydu Park.

The difference between the two teams on one day late in March was as drastic as the temperature shift at twilight.

“I think it’s good for our energy,” Castle Rock’s Stuart Teter said. “Getting those runs early kind of killed their energy, and ours skyrocketed.”
