VANCOUVER — The Kelso baseball team was unable to get over the hump against Mountain View, Friday, falling 7-5 on the road in the 3A District IV championship tilt.
The Hilanders held a 5-3 lead late in the game but gave up four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning and could not score again.
The loss was a stark change of pace from the Scot’s shutout of Prairie in the semifinals. What’s more, the late collapse left Kelso holding the No. 16 seed and looking at a tough row to hoe in the upcoming 3A State Tournament.
