Tigers clawing for playoff position

The Clatskanie boys basketball team has picked a most inopportune time to suffer a slump, dropping back-to-back league contests this week – and three in a row overall – as the regular season enters the home stretch.

The Tigers hosted Portland Christian on Wednesday and lost 78-32, just two days after falling 47-45 to Columbia Christian in a gut-twisting defeat.

Clatskanie (10-8, 3-6 league) currently sits in fifth place in the 2A Northwest League. The Tigers trail Columbia Christian by one game and hold a one game advantage over Faith Bible/Life Christian.
