1B Prep Boys Basketball / Report

The Wahkiakum boys basketball suffered a setback in the Regional round of the 1B State Tournament on Saturday with a 78-49 loss to No. 1 ranked Lummi Nation at Lynden High School.

The Mules, ranked No. 8 in the tournament, entered the tournament coming off a victory in the District championship tilt, but were outscored in every quarter by the Blackhawks.

Now, Wahkiakum has its back against the wall as it prepares for a loser-out contest against a familiar foe in the Round of 12 this week in Spokane.
