2A Prep Boys Soccer / Report

HOCKINSON — The R.A. Long Lumberjacks saw the flash before they heard the clap on Tuesday in a 3-1 loss to Hockinson in a 2A District IV semifinal affair.

A pair of early goals by the Hawks put the Jacks in a hole they were never able to climb out of, even after a lightning storm provided an unplanned pause in the action and a natural opportunity to swing momentum back in their favor.

“Disappointing result,” RAL head coach Max Anderson said. “We were on the front foot most of the match.”
