High School Football / Report

THE STADIUM — The final score is a dependable indicator of how close the contest was between Mark Morris and Washougal at Longview Memorial Stadium Friday night. Both the Monarchs and Panthers traded blows all throughout the 2A Greater St. Helens League contest, but it was the visiting Panthers who came up with a few more big plays late to secure a 17-14 win at the wire.

“Incredible high school football game tonight versus a very good Washougal team,” MM head coach Mike Peck declared postgame on social media. “The fans got their money worth!”
