THE STADIUM — In the first half, it looked like Ridgefield was going to take control of the game in much the same way that many teams have done to the Lumberjacks this season. In fact, the Spudders’ defense was on the brink of making history for the Lumberjacks. Had the hosts been shut out for a fifth consecutive week it would have been the hosts longest scoring drought since 1948.
But on Senior Night at Longview Memorial Stadium the Jacks had officially had enough exiting the locker room after the intermission and putting together a valiant second half effort to walk away with a run of the will 35-16 loss in 2A Greater St. Helens League play.
“We simplified some things (on offense) at half,” RAL head coach Jon Barker stated. “We started asking ourselves what we can build on.”
