High School Football / Report

BRUSH PRAIRIE — If you looked at the game film at the right angle, it sort of seemed like the Lumberjacks had some poise and offensive momentum built up after a breakout fourth quarter performance in Week 3.

But that momentum did not sustain, and poise went out the window Friday night in a 41-0 loss at Hockinson in 2A Greater St. Helens League play.

That Diesel offense? Stalled out.

And that bend, but don’t break defense? It broke and R.A. Long wasn’t able to force any stops until it was far too late.

“Our defensive toughness wasn’t there,” the RAL boss Jon Barker explained.
