Hilanders gut out win to takeover poll position

The Kelso football team is off to its best start since 2018 after notching a 20-14 win on the road over Prairie last week. That victory required several big stops, a huge 4th and 1-inch push, and a whole lot of heart out of the Hilanders at District Stadium on Thursday.

The K-Town express ran out to a 13-0 before halftime, and then added a touchdown in the third quarter in order to lead by a full score with roughly 14 minutes left to play.

But it was a non-scoring play that clinched the victory for the Scotties.
