Local high school football fans are waking up and saying goodbye to the old 2A Greater St. Helens League after news broke overnight that big changes are coming to the gridiron next fall. According to The Tacoma News Tribune, the 2A Evergreen Conference and the 2A GSHL are set to merge next season, but it was not a mutual decision.
The News Tribune story quotes Tumwater head coach Willie Garrow on the issue, but local coaches and athletic directors noted there is currently a gag order on the matter and declined to provide comment or context until the dust has settled.
