2A Prep Girls Basketball / Roundup

The final standings in the 2A Greater St. Helens League will come down to the final day of the regular season after several unexpected results came rolling in on Wednesday.

Mark Morris fumbled a chance to lock down the 2A GSHL championship when it fell 42-40 on the road at Washougal in its penultimate regular season contest.

Meanwhile, Woodland blew Hudson’s Bay out of the water in order to stay in the hunt for the league title on paper. But the Beavers will have to defeat Columbia River in their final league contest to keep that dream alive, and a loss could drop them all the way to third.

All of a sudden R.A. Long has the opportunity to both snap an 11-game losing streak while playing the spoiler in the Civil War. And all the Monarchs have to do is win at The Lumberdome in order to grab the league crown.
