The Toledo girls basketball team played its way into the championship game at a tournament in Ketchikan, Alaska, over the winter break. Ellie Fallon and Ryah Stanley were both named to the All-Tournament team for the Riverhawks and half of Cheese Town got an extra 24-hours to soak in the hinterland air after winter storms wiped out their flight out of town time and time again.

The Riverhawks got right back to work with the arrival of the new year with games against an Australian traveling team and Pe Ell already down on the ledger.

“We continue to have different girls contribute and step up every night,” Toledo head coach Brian Layton said. “They always play with great effort.”
