Fighting Ducks ‘firing on all cylinders’
The Toutle Lake girls basketball team advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2B District IV Tournament last week with a 61-28 win over Rainier (WA) on Saturday at Rochester High School. The victory capped a big week for the Fighting Ducks as they look to get over the hump and into the state tournament this season.
“They played complete team defense. It was just one of those games you could feel it in the locker room – they were ready to go,” TL head coach Daren Dean said.
The victory came just days after the Ducks went to Toledo and downed the Riverhawks in their Central 2B League final in order to claim fourth place over their Gateway to the Blast Zone neighbors.
