MEMORIAL STADIUM – The first half of action between R.A. Long and Woodland didn’t have many standout moments until the lightning struck.

And then when it struck again 15 minutes later during a mandatory delay, that was all she wrote for the 2A Greater St. Helens League match, and both teams went home.

The scoreboard read 0-0 with 32:24 elapsed in the first half when the thunder clap brought the game to a stop.

The Beavers and Lumberjills will try again on Friday afternoon with a redo scheduled for 3 p.m. at Longview Memorial Stadium. Full details and additional photos will be provided in the next soccer roundup.
