Lumberjacks win ‘water-logged’ match with Hilanders

The opening night of action for the R.A. Long and Kelso boys soccer teams was so blustery it left Lumberjacks head coach Max Anderson looking for ways to dry off the stat sheet until the sun came back around.
“(I’m) still water-logged,” Anderson said as the rooster prepared to retire from a soggy morning shift.

And those stats were favorable in the morning light, after the Jacks hung on for a 2-1 non-league victory over the Hilanders at Schroeder Field on Wednesday evening.
