KALAMA — The Chinooks were able to give their seniors one more round of memories on their home floor, Tuesday, with a three-set win over Castle Rock at Virgil Simmons Court. The Senior Night victory for Kalama in the regular season finale arrived by scores of 25-15, 25-16 and 25-12.

“I was so proud of how they played tonight,” Kalama head coach Rebecca Clark said. “Especially on senior night, because you never know how that’s going to go because of all the emotions.”

And there were other ramifications, too, aside from all the Kodak moments for the hosts. With the win Kalama locked down the No. 2 seed out of the 1A Trico League with the district tournament looming around the corner.

Meanwhile, Castle Rock fell to fifth place in the league standings. That means the Rockets will have to win a pigtail game in order to gain entrance into the double elimination portion of the 1A District IV Tournament.
