Hislop & Hammergren, Hilanders sweep Plainsmen

The Kelso volleyball team didn’t have any trouble playing on the road last week with a four-set sweep at Evergreen in 3A Greater St. Helens League play. The Lassies won by set scores of 25-10, 25-14 and 25-15.

The visitors dominated at the service stripe with a dozen aces as a team. Addie Hislop accounted for half of those aces herself, posted a team-high 20 assists, and chipped in a kill for good measure.

“Setter duo Addie Hislop and Bailee Hamergren ran a quick-tempo offense that kept Evergreen’s defense guessing all night,” Kelso head coach Michelle Mury said.
