The Mark Morris volleyball team shook off an out of whack weekend in time to dispatch Hockinson in three sets at Ted M. Natt Court on Tuesday. The victory, by scores of 25-19, 25-18 and 25-16, improved the Monarchs record to 2-0 in league.

The Monarchs won a five-set match over Woodland last week to open league play, but were swept by 1A Kalama at home on Saturday.

“We were chomping to get back on the court after Saturday’s performance. It didn't sit well and we wanted to wash it away,” MM head coach Carmen Hewitt said. “Tonight felt way better. Our serve receive was incredible all night.”
