West MVP Laila leads Red Devils into season’s final weekend

The Red Devils earned a return trip to the Tri-Cities for the Final Four after picking up a pair of wins at Columbia Basin College last week in the opening rounds of the NWAC Tournament. Lower Columbia dispatched Shoreline, 91-60, on Friday and then returned to action with a 77-49 win over Treasure Valley in the Elite 8 on Saturday in Pasco.

“Over there we shot the ball pretty well,” LCC coach Mickey Polis said. “I thought we made some great passes to open guys. And I thought we played really well for the end of the year.”
