Kelso grad Erin Tack parlayed one of her best javelin throws of the season into a berth at the NCAA Division I Track and Field Championships.
Tack, a grad student at the University of Arizona, tossed the spear 165-feet to place 12th in the event at the NCAA West Regional Championships held in Fayetteville, Ark. She will compete for a national title in the championships during June 10-14 at Hayward Field on the campus of the University of Oregon in Eugene.
Already in the school record-book for her 178-feet-4 effort at the Big 12 Championships in 2025, Tack will get to compete at NCAA Championships for the first time in her career.
