Collegiate Roundup – RAL's Holden, MM's Parlin hit transfer portal; Kelso's Fraley, Clatskanie's Blodgett hunker down

Blodgett, Fraley get after it for Wildcats, Pilots
The women's basketball season has gone better than expected for Clatskanie's Shelby Blodgett, who is playing in the NCAA Division II National Championships with Central Washington University.
In the tournament's opening round, Blodgett, a junior, had four points and three rebounds as the Wildcats turned away Point Loma 74-53. She tallied three points, three rebounds and three assists as CWU won its second round matchup against Chico State 79-73.


In the West Coast Conference semifinals, Kelso's Natalie Fraley scored four points and grabbed two rebounds as the University of Portland held off Washington State University 72-57.
The Pilots lost to Oregon State 59-46 in the WCC title game, but earned a spot in the Women's Basketball Invitation Tournament (WBIT) for the first time in school history. Portland is slated to face Stanford in a tournament first round matchup.
