The future is bright for Kalama's Jackson Esary, a junior forward with the men's basketball team at Ottawa University in Kansas.

Esary has played in five games for the Braves, and is averaging 9.0 points and 2.8 rebounds. He amassed double-digit scoring in three of the games, including a season-high 20 points to go with two rebounds and two assists in a 92-69 pounding of Culver-Stockton College of Canto, Missouri.
