Two games into the season, ex-Lower Columbia College guard Kyle Gruhler found himself on ESPN as a selection to the network’s Top-10 Plays of the day.
Gruhler, a senior at Montana-Western University in Dillon, was shown on the network driving the lane for a one-handed dunk during a 90-66 victory over Warner Pacific University in the Montana-Western Tournament. He finished the game making 3-of-5 three-pointers for 21 points and grabbed three rebounds.

Also for the Bulldogs, former LCC players Emanuel Steward had 16 points and three rebounds, and David Young added six points and six boards.
In the Bulldogs’ other tournament matchup, an 85-65 pounding of Southern Oregon, Gruhler exploded for 32 points, three assists and two rebounds, Steward had 14 points, three assists, two rebounds and two blocked shots, and Young chipped-in seven points and three rebounds.
In the season-opener with The Evergreen State College, Gruhler tossed in 31 points and pulled seven rebounds, Steward had 13 points and two rebounds, and Young added four points and two rebounds.
