Kelso's Riley Kirk, a sophomore golfer at California State University-Stanislaus, tied for 10th place in the Chico State University Wildcat Classic played at the Peach Tree Country Club in Marysville, Calif.
Kirk fired rounds of 69-69-71 for a 7-under-par 209 on the par-72 course. He was one of 11 players in the 90-man field to finish the tournament at seven-under-par or better.

Chico State won the 14-team tournament with 823, followed by Cal State East Bay with 833. Stanislaus was eighth with 860.
