A dominant performance from Kenji London helped propel the Ottawa University men’s bowling team to the team title at the Columbia Cougar Clash tournament held in Columbia, Mo.

London, a Mark Morris graduate and junior at Ottawa in Kansas, tallied a four-game series of 864 to finish in fourth place in the singles portion of the tournament. As a team, the Braves tallied 4,048 for four games to move into second place after the first day of competition, and carded a 3,051 total for 16 Baker-format games on the second day to be seeded second into the team bracket.

During bracket play, Ottawa turned away Iowa Western in the semifinals, and toppled Avila 2-1 in the title match.

“The men are really starting to hit their stride after a fairly slow start to the season,” Ottawa coach Geoff Poston said in a story on the school’s website. “I was happy with all the guys for understanding the importance of building some momentum going into Vegas. Mission accomplished this weekend.”
