Two former Lower Columbia College men's basketball players advanced into the NAIA Men's Basketball National Championships before having their season come to an end in the tournament quarterfinals.

Rocky Mountain College of Montana, with seniors Carter McCoy and Sherman Royal III, needed an extra session to get past Bellevue University of Nebraska 78-73 in overtime in the tournament's Round of 16, before falling to Langston University of Oklahoma 60-55 in the tournament quarterfinals.

In the overtime win over Bellevue, McCoy tallied a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds including five points in overtime, and Royal III added two points and two steals.

Against Langston, McCoy collected 10 points and seven rebounds, and Royal III contributed four points and three rebounds.

Rocky Mountain finished its season 31-4. The season brought program highs in wins, conference wins (20), and winning streak (21 games). The team also won its first Frontier Conference Regular Season and Tournament Championship since 2014 and made their first NAIA National Tournament appearance since 2019.
