Lower Columbia College grad Easton Amundson was a standout all season as a senior infielder with the Metropolitan State University-Denver baseball team, but it seemed like he stepped-up his game during the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Tournament.

During four games of the tournament, Amundson, a senior, belted five home runs as the Roadrunners finished runner-up to the conference title.

In the RMC Tournament title game won by Colorado Mesa 18-5, Amundson slugged a two-run homer in the second inning, and added a three-run bomb in the fourth. In a 9-0 triumph over Regis University, Amundson slapped a three-run tater in the ninth inning.

A 15-10 victory over Colorado State University-Pueblo saw Amundson and ex-LCC catcher Royce Vandine each go yard. Amundson drilled a two-run homer in the fifth inning, and added a grand slam in the sixth, and Vandine had three hits and knocked in three runs including a solo homer in the fourth.

Amundson was also named to the RMAC second-team after hitting a school-record 28 home runs. He was also second in the runs batted in with 74, and hit ,331, His .971 slugging percentage ranks him second-all time among Metro State players for a single-season.
