Neal captures bronze for Columbians at State


Kasey Neal made the most of her final weekend on the mat for Rainer wrestling by winning five matches at Memorial Coliseum in order to place third at 110 pounds in the 4A-1A OSAA Girls Wrestling Championships. In doing, so she became the second girl to ever place at the state tournament for the Columbians.
Rainier had two girls in the brackets and posted 22 total team points. Neal was responsible for 18 of those points herself in Portland.
“She had a really good second day,” Rainier coach Matt Hendricks said. “She came all the way through the consolation match to place third.”
