LONGVIEW MEMORIAL — The result won’t count in the final standings for either team, but you can bet your favorite knit scarf the players on the pitch had pride on their mind on Wednesday when the Kelso Hilanders made their way across the Cowlitz River for a non-league boys soccer rivalry tilt with R.A. Long at the stadium.

With some extra help from R.A. Long’s Alex Wooden, the match, hereby known as the Monticello Convention, tipped in favor of the Lumberjacks by a score of 3-1.
