THE ROCK — On the final day of the regular season the Castle Rock baseball team was able to clinch a berth to the playoffs in dramatic fashion, and then celebrated with a mercy rule victory lap in a doubleheader at home against Kalama in 1A Trico League play.

The Rockets won the opener in comeback fashion by a score of 5-4, before coming back to drop Kalama 10-0 in the rematch.

"Credit Kalama and their pitcher in the first game tonight,” Castle Rock skipper Joe Bair said. “They gave us everything we could handle.”
