THE ROCK — With third place in the 1A Trico League standings hanging in the balance on Thursday the Kalama softball team traveled to Castle Rock and left nothing to chance in a 20-2 victory over the Rockets. The Chinooks pounded out 17 hits and scored in every inning on the way to the mercy rule victory.

“Bats were on fire from the start,” Kalama assistant coach Bradley Rinard said.
