Rough Finish – Monarchs fall 78-59 to Rapids, settle for 6th place

YAKIMA — The Mark Morris boys basketball team suffered a 78-59 defeat at the hands of Columbia River on trophy day at the SunDome, Saturday, and was forced to settle for sixth place in the 2A State Tournament.
After defeating the Rapids in both of their league contests, the Monarchs were unable to summon the juice needed to sweep the season series. Columbia River wound up taking fourth place in the tournament following a third place finish in the league standings.
