The Lumberjacks went to Ridgefield and defeated the Spudders in walk-off fashion on Saturday in order to clinch one of the final two berths up for grabs in the 2A District IV Tournament.

That win 5-4 arrived on a single by Robert Coughlan-Wilson, Nick Niday added a pair of doubles, while Jonah Cadigan posted two hits and drove in two runs.

It was Cadigan who earned the win in relief with two shutout innings. He struck out one batter and allowed one hit. Riley Young started the game and allowed four unearned runs over five innings while striking out six batters.

R.A. Long (15-9) was given the No. 1 seed to the 2A State Tournament. The Lumberjacks will play No. 5 Othello at W.F. West High School on Saturday at 1 p.m. If R.A. Long wins that game, it will play the winner of W.F. West and Chief Sealth in the evening game in Chehalis.
