Prep Basketball Previews: Local teams ready for opening round of State Tournaments
March Madness? – R.A. Long, Mark Morris, Woodland, Toledo, Wahkiakum and Clatskanie chasing trophies

We all know that March is a month typically reserved for rain showers and college basketball tournaments. But for the lucky few prep basketball teams still standing across the Blast Zone, March also the month when the wildest of dreams can either come to fruition or fizzle out like a hot skillet tossed in a wet sink.
Depending on how they were ranked, teams are either playing for positioning in the final bracket, or they’re simply playing to keep their season alive. One way or the other, fans will be able to watch the R.A. Long, Mark Morris, Toledo and Wahkiakum boys, along with the Woodland and Clatskanie girls, play the bigges games of their season over the next 36-hours.
If you’ve been paying attention at all up to this point in the season you’re likely already familiar with our local squads and what they bring to the table. If not, I suggest you do some research in the BZM files. But assuming you’re all well-versed high school hoops disciples, we’ll spend most of our time today getting to know the foes who stand in the way of our locally sourced hardwood talent.
