Young leads R.A. Long in romp at Hockinson
The Lumberjacks let their defense set the tone and then landed a knockout with a 34-point second quarter on the way to a 86-41 win at Hockinson, Tuesday, in 2A Greater St. Helens League boys basketball action.
Rhet Young posted a game-high 19 points and grabbed five rebounds to pace the R.A. Long offense. After holding the Hocks to just five points in the first quarter, the Jacks rode an 11-point quarter by Young to a 51-22 lead at the break.
“The second quarter we caught fire and felt like we were just making all the right plays,” R.A. Long coach Jeray Key said.
