No. 10 ranked Monarchs win at Washougal
The Mark Morris boys basketball team let the Panthers hang around awhile before calling in reinforcements and running away with a 68-39 win at Washougal, Thursday, in 2A Greater St. Helens League play.
Dalton Stevens led the Monarchs with a game-high 22 points, but it took the visitors more than the first eight minutes to figure out how to create a cushion on the scoreboard.
“We knew we were in for a tough battle because Washougal is traditionally one of the toughest places in our league to play at and win,” Mark Morris coach Ken Kelly said.
