Stevens paces Monarchs in win over Hockinson
When the first round of WIAA RPI rankings were released on Wednesday the Mark Morris boys basketball team saw its name just inside the Top-10. And that doesn’t mean much now, it might later, if the Monarchs continue on their current trajectory.
The Monarchs, who have lost just once this season, did their best to keep up appearances on Tuesday with a 77-42 win over Hockinson in 2A Greater St. Helens League action at Bakamus Gymnasium. Dalton Stevens led the way with a game-high 27 points to go with team-highs in rebounds (7) and assists (4) for the hosts.
Stevens knocked down a trio of 3-pointers in the first half to help the Monarchs take a 45-17 lead into the intermission.
