Beavers let White Salmon get loose late
The Woodland boys basketball team went toe-to-toe with the Bruins for 30 minutes of game action before dropping a non-league contest at Columbia-White Salmon by a score of 61-51, Monday, in gorge country.
Mike Belvin led the Beavers with another double-double. He scored 16 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in the loss, but the visitors found themselves tied 33-33 at the intermission.
“I'm proud to be these guys’ coach,” Woodland coach Justin Gabbard said. “They worked really hard, in a really tough environment, competed, just fell a little short.”
