Kalama’s Suzara celebrates State title in style

The Chinooks represented well at Mat Classic XXXVI, including one State champion in the team van, and then let it all hang out on the way back to Kalama as they enjoyed the collective spoils of victory.
Harrison Suzara won a title for the ‘Nooks at 120 pounds when he successfully navigated his 1A bracket unscathed. And what did he do next?
He ate Krispy Kreme donuts and gorged on gas station fried chicken, of course.
“There’s been so many celebration meals,” Suzara said. “It was a huge weight cut.”
And heck, even wrestlers who don’t win a State title deserve to indulge a little after months on end of minding the scale and passing up seconds at holiday meals. It’s just that everything tastes better with a champions medal around your neck.
