Mark Morris 18, Hockinson 14

Avery Elliott entered Mark Morris lore as a freshman on Friday night, running back an interception for the game-winning touchdown on the road to keep the Monarchs in the thick of their playoff hunt.

Not only did Elliott run back the interception in the third quarter to provide the difference int he outcome, he also scored on a 53-yard run in the second quarter that gave MM a brief lead.

The Monarchs certainly enjoyed themselves after spicing their road trip up with a dramatic finish.

“Nothing better than a locker room after a hard fought win,” Mark Morris coach Mike Peck said.

Kenny Mullen Jr. rushed for an even 100 yards and Dekker Bartell caught a touchdown pass for the Monarchs in the 2A Greater St. Helens League win.
