Champagne pops off for Lassies in bi-District win over Raiders
The Kelso girls basketball team didn’t have long to marinate in its woes over the weekend. Not with a do-or-die game in the 3A bi-District III/IV Tournament on the docket less than 24 hours after suffering a blowout loss on the road in their bracket opener.
But the Lassies found a way to keep their season alive on Saturday with a 46-40 win over Thomas Jefferson, Saturday, at home on the big K Court.
“After (Friday) night, I’m very happy with our performance. I wanted to see how we would bounce back,” first-year Kelso coach Andrew Johnson said.
