Kalama rocked at Montesano in District opener

The Chinooks picked a bad day to come down with the flu and it cost them in a 74-40 loss to Montesano, Wednesday, in the opening round of the 1A District IV girls basketball tournament at Montesano High School.

“(We) have some key players with that illness going around,” Kalama coach Amber Doerty said. “Hoping it is short lived. They battled as hard as they could.”
