Moe, Johnson push Kelso past Battle Ground

The Kelso girls basketball team made good use of the 48 hour rule this week when it bounced back from a big loss to notch a 56-28 victory at Battle Ground in 3A/4A Greater St. Helens League action.

“Our girls showed a lot of resilience last night,” Kelso coach Andrew Johnson said. “We struggled to find our rhythm offensively in the first half. Our timing, spacing and execution were off, but by the end of the second quarter we started to settle down and find each other.”

But it’s been noted before that the best offense is a good defense. And apparently the Lassies have heard that logic while hanging around the football field over the years.
