Kelso gets ‘Mad’ in win at Prairie
The Kelso girls basketball team faced a tough test right out of the gate in 3A Greater St. Helens League play, Tuesday, with a road date at Prairie on the docket. But with the help of Madalynn Moe, the Lassies outlasted the Falcons for a 63-55 victory that could very well denote the next chapter in their season of ups and downs under first-year head coach Andrew Johnson.
“Our team played an incredible game last night, and I couldn’t be prouder of the effort from everyone on the court,” Johnson said. “We emphasized teamwork, defense, and controlling the boards leading up to this game, and the girls delivered in every way.”
