Kelso loses steam in second half at Skyview

The Kelso girls basketball team couldn’t keep pace with the Storm, Tuesday, falling 57-44 at Skyview in 3A/4A Greater St. Helens League action.

Peyton Champagne led Kelso with 16 points in the loss, but couldn’t put the biscuit in the basket frequently enough to overcome an eight point deficit at the half.

“We faced a tough opponent in Skyview and came up short in a hard-fought battle,” Kelso coach Andrew Johnson said. “Our team scrapped and fought until the final whistle, but their size and physicality proved to be too much to overcome.”
